Membership Committee Charges

1. To integrate new people into membership in our community:
1. to welcome and provide information to visitors
2. to invite interested persons into membership
3. to orient new and/or prospective members regarding the history, organization, and functioning of the church
4. to inform new members of the expectations placed upon members in accordance with the Bylaws, and
5. to provide support for the integration of new members into both the opportunities and responsibilities of church membership within one month of becoming a member
2. To work with the Annual Canvass Follow-up Team by providing names of new members or active friends
3. To work with the Treasurer, Minister, and Pastoral Committee in order to keep apprised of the status of all members and to keep an accurate and updated record of all members
4. Together with the Treasurer, provide an accurate list of all voting members for congregational meetings
5. Organize and execute a process of registering voting members for all congregational meetings
